Raman spectroscopy has witnessed fast expansion in the last decade in the pharmaceutical industry. Raman has shown unique advantages in performing in situ and non-invasive detection with no or minimal sample preparation. In this mini review, we focus on its current applications in support of protein formulation and purification with three representative case studies.
